Missoula has a lot of older housing stock. The Northside, Westside, Slant Streets and University area are full of homes built between the 1900s and the 1950s, many with original ductwork, boilers or additions that were never tied into the main system. Newer subdivisions in Miller Creek, Linda Vista and Grant Creek have modern equipment but often the builder-grade kind that starts failing around year ten. We work on all of it.
Two things shape HVAC in Missoula more than anything else: winter inversions that keep the valley cold and stagnant for weeks, and summer wildfire smoke that forces families to keep windows shut and run the AC constantly. Central air was optional here twenty years ago. It is not anymore. We add air conditioning and ductless systems to homes that never had it, and we help homeowners choose filtration that actually holds up during smoke season.
